West Boca Radiation Oncology (WBRO) is a state-of-the-art, outpatient cancer treatment center in Boca Raton, Florida that offers a wide range of radiotherapy services to the community. WBRO has invested in the latest technology available in the field of radiation oncology including the Trilogy™ Stereotactic System with RapidArc™ from Varian Medical Systems. This multi-faceted system offers various treatment modalities such as advanced conformal therapies, IMRT and IGRT. WBRO strives to provide the highest quality in patient care in a supportive, compassionate and technically sophisticated setting.
Multi-disciplinary Cancer Care. WBRO is conveniently located on the campus of West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, Florida. We have an electronic patient record system, and we have close relationships with local hospitals and specialists. This enables WBRO to provide patients with a thorough and comprehensive treatment plan. WBRO’s multi-disciplinary approach incorporates the latest technologies and therapies in radiation oncology to provide patients with exceptional cancer care. The philosophy at WBRO is to provide a unique treatment plan for each patient that focuses on individual needs and concerns.
Experience and Strong Community Ties. Bruce Phillips, M.D., our Medical Director, is a board certified radiation oncologist and has practiced in Palm Beach County for over 20 years in a community-based setting. He received his training at Duke University Medical Center, is a member of the American College of Radiology and is a fellow of the American College of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Phillips is dedicated to providing quality care to his patients with the latest, most effective technology and treatment protocols.

State-of-the-Art Technology. WBRO is operated as a paperless environment utilizing sophisticated electronic medical record software for all activities. This system provides our physician with instant patient information and records, streamlines the patient care experience, and allows for seamless communication with referring physicians.
Sophisticated Treatment Modalities and Equipment. The clinic has the Trilogy™ Stereotactic System from Varian Medical Systems. WBRO’s system is equipped with the latest innovation known as RapidArc™. RapidArc decreases radiation treatment times by up to 60% while still maintaining the same level of precision and therapeutic efficacy. This comprehensive technology package includes the following treatment modalities:
- 3D Conformal Radiation Therapy
- Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
- Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
The clinic also offers brachytherapy to treat diseases such as skin and gynecological cancers.
Advanced Treatment Planning. An on-site CT scanner with 4-dimensional capability is utilized for patient simulations for radiation oncology treatments. The staff consists of a full-time Medical Physicist and certified Radiation Therapists to support the use of enhanced treatment planning.
