Ajay Bhatnagar, M.D.

Dr. Bhatnagar offers an extensive academic background and broad experience in new technology, research and radiation oncology treatment modalities. Following the completion of medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and a transitional internship at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, he completed his post-graduate training in radiation oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. Dr. Bhatnagar has contributed to several publications, including Radiation Oncology. He has written journal articles focused specifically on the efficacy of modern technological developments, such as stereotactic radiosurgery and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). He has lectured both domestically and abroad. Dr. Bhatnagar holds several leadership positions in the radiation oncology community. He serves on the Health Policy Committee and Government Relations Committee for the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), as well as on the Economics Committee for the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). He has served on editorial boards for multiple scientific journals including Oncology, Head & Neck and International Obstetrics & Gynecology. Additionally, Dr. Bhatnagar presently holds an academic appointment at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Medicine as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology. Dr. Bhatnagar was raised in the Philadelphia area and completed his undergraduate degree in bio-engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.
